Do you still get charged if you cancel a free trial?

I'm curious, if I sign up for a free trial of a cryptocurrency service or platform, and then decide to cancel it before the trial period ends, will I still be charged for anything? I understand that the trial is supposed to be free, but I just want to make sure there aren't any hidden fees or charges that I should be aware of.
